Hometown Pet Care is the only hospital in the area dedicated exclusively to the care of small companion animals, including dogs, cats and pocket pets. We personally understand the special role your pet plays as part of your family and we strive to nurture that bond with every interaction.
Just like Dr. Watterson, who paved the way for us, we want to continue the legacy of improving the lives of both people and pets.

Our hospital is staffed with a team of experienced yet approachable individuals who are committed to partnering with you. We want you to feel comfortable asking us questions — and we want your four-legged family member to feel safe and at ease in our presence.
Committed to Our Community
We have spent several years serving our local animal shelter and routinely assist by providing care to homeless pets. Our staff volunteer both collectively and individually, and we are always looking for new organizations to team up with.
Dr. David Prescott
Oklahoma State University · University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. David Prescott is a Tennessee native with family ties in Oklahoma. He attended OK State University, obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Entomology/Plant Pathology alongside his pre-vet curriculum. Dr. Prescott graduated from the University of Tennessee with his doctorate in veterinary medicine.
Hometown Pet Care was purchased by Dr Prescott and his wife, Amanda, in 2005. It was originally named Watterson Veterinary Hospital, after the owner, the late Dr Charles Watterson.
